Introduction

Move Well with Jen Non is the brand name for yoga teacher Jennifer Aguas Non. I am committed to protecting any data I collect from you.  By using my services, you agree to the use of the data I collect in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

My Commitment to Privacy

I collect the minimum amount of information about you that is commensurate with providing you with a satisfactory service. This Privacy Policy indicates the type of processes that may result in data being collected about you.

Information Collected

I collect a certain amount of personal data when you attend my classes. This is to ensure your health and safety while practicing yoga, and is also used to tailor sessions to suit your individual needs.

I will ask for your specific consent to receive my newsletters and marketing information and you can opt-out of this at any time.

Class and workshop attendance and health data will be held for a maximum of five years from your last class with me (five years from reaching the age of consent for students of minor age).

If you ask me to remove or amend information solely held for marketing purposes (for example, data held for my mailing list), I will do so as soon as is practicable.

Data in relation to payments and reserving space in my workshops and classes is processed by Google Forms (docs.google.com), PayPal (www.paypal.com), BPI bank deposit or online funds transfer (www.bpi.com.ph), and GCash (www.gcash.com) on their secure websites and they have their own privacy policies.

The studios and gyms and other premises and platforms where I work on a self-employed basis (e.g. Rebel Yoga Manila, IA Yoga Studio, Surya Fitness & Yoga, Anytime Fitness) collect data from you independently as a member or user of their facilities, and are solely responsible for their own data protection and privacy compliance.

Information Use

I use the information collected to help plan and tailor my yoga teaching to the needs of participants, and also to market my services – for example forthcoming workshops via Facebook or Mailchimp email (see below for more information about Mailchimp). All reasonable precautions are taken to prevent unauthorized access to this information.

Cookies 

Your Internet browser has the in-built facility for storing small files — “cookies” — that hold information which allows a website to recognize your account.  My website and associated websites (e.g. Mailchimp) takes advantage of this facility to enhance your experience. You have the ability to prevent your computer from accepting cookies but, if you do, certain functionality on the website may be impaired.

Use of the email marketing service provider Mailchimp

The newsletter is distributed via Mailchimp, a newsletter shipping platform of The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave # 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The e-mail addresses of my newsletter recipients, as well as their other information described herein, are stored on the servers of Mailchimp in the USA. Mailchimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, Mailchimp may, according to its own information, use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimization of the shipping and the presentation of the newsletter or for economic purposes, to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Mailchimp does not use the data of my newsletter recipients to write them down or to pass them on to third parties.

I rely on the reliability, IT and data security of Mailchimp. Mailchimp is certified under the US-EU Privacy Shield and is committed to complying with EU data protection requirements. The privacy policy of Mailchimp can be viewed here.

Disclosing Information

I do not disclose any personal information obtained about you from this website and third-party websites I use (e.g. Google Forms and Mailchimp) to third parties. I may also use the information to keep in contact with you and inform you of developments associated with my business. You will be given the opportunity to remove yourself from any mailing list or similar device. If at any time in the future I should wish to disclose information collected on this website to any third party, it would only be with your knowledge and consent.

I may from time-to-time provide information of a general nature to third parties — for example, the number of individuals visiting my website or completing a registration form, but I will not use any information that could identify those individuals.

Changes to this Policy

Any changes to my Privacy Policy will be placed here and will supersede this version of my Policy. I suggest you read this document each time you use the website to ensure that it still meets your approval.
